Borgo del Rio offers agritourism hospitality on an operating farm which cultivates its land using strictly organic and biodynamic methods. It is located in the heart of the Spoleto Valley which was so well loved by St. Francis. 

Your hosts, Ettore and Lorella del Rio live on the property and will be there not only to welcome you, but to assist you during your stay in Umbria. 

The Borgo is centrally located making it easy to visit the most beautiful towns in the region.You will find peace, tranquility, sunshine, pure air, and numerous paths for taking lovely walks and bike rides.

The farm also has a small museum – a collection of old farming tools and equipment housed in what had been the old Olive Mill from the 18th to the beginning of the 20th Century. 

Besides the museum, your hosts, Ettore and Lorella del Rio, are available to explain their age-old but entirely contemporary organic farming methods.

By arrangement, they will be happy to offer a tasting of their products including olive oil and locally produced wines.
